And the price of Gas.....V-6 makes sense. If you can coax those horses out of them and save in gas and insurance.....that makes you way smarter than me.

Let's set the record straight here, FIRST TIME ON A STRAIGHT LINE TRACK!
I'm used to having to steer the car and run for a half hour, door handle to door handle with other knuckle heads that want the same piece of real estate.

I have a v8 supercharged (gt500) but i can respect the v6 being so quick. have you guys done anything to the tires wheel combo since then. i noticed that it spun badly off the line. probably all of the torque!

fanjuu, no. We haven't done anything with the tire and wheel combo since then. The project build is actually over for us. Glen Dixon of newtakeoff.com owns the car, and the project was built with parts that Mr. Dixon sells on the new take off website. I think it was a great way to advertise the products by performing an actual build with the very same parts that anyone can buy. And what really makes it special is that a person can make these upgrades as their time or budget allows.

Thanks for watching the video and leaving us a comment. We love hearing from you. Sometimes it feels like no one is watching (I know that many people are but we like the feedback), so we cherish every comment that is posted.

You're right. Those tires spun pretty bad at the line. James did a pretty nasty burnout in staging.

My burnout didn't help. Your 60-foot was better.

We need sticky tires.
