A user over on the Corral is having trouble deciding which car he will buy. Pete Butter (his username) is trying to choose between a 2005 or newer C-6 Corvette or a 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra. His wife will only allow him to purchase one. I did not see an option for trading the wife in on the other vehicle. I was surprised to see the results of the poll taking into account the location of the post. The Corvette is leading 57 to 52. Being a Mustang website, I assumed the numbers would be skewed but the Vette is being favored in this battle. This poll is also an example of the open-mindedness of most Ford and Mustang fans.
My choice would be the Cobra to avoid paying the Corvette modification tax. The Corvette is a very good looking car but much more expensive to modify. But it is also considered a better platform to start with, but at what cost. It really all depends on what your plans are for the car and your budget to achieve those goals.
Check out the
Corral to vote in the pole. People like the backseat, the initial cost and cheaper modifications for the Mustang. The Corvette has the advantage of better handling, braking and aerodynamics.
