It has been announced that the Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Spring Break Shootout will be on board with the NMRA at Bradenton Motorsports Park for the annual Nitto Tire Spring Ford Nationals.The race will be presented by PRO5.0.com and take place on March 5-8,
Since its inception in 1995, the Spring Break Shootout has become a highly anticipated race for the fastest street style Mustangs around. Competitors come from all over to take part in the happenings. 2009 will feature new, easy to adapt rules and larger purses for Spring Break Shootout competitors.
New for 2009 will be a Quick 16 format based off the qualifying from
NMRA's Hedman Hedders True Street Class. The quickest 16 cars from the true street qualifying will make up the field for the shootout.
Competitors must meet all True Street Rules and make all three passes during the competition to be eligible for the shootout.
The NMRA and
MM&FF have stated the following purses will be implied in 2009.
Spring Break Shootout Purses:
Winner: $800, Pro 5.0 Shifter of Choice, Ford Racing Boss Block, 6' Trophy
Runner-Up: $400, Pro 5.0 Shifter of Choice, Plaque
Semis: $200
Quarters: $100
Eighths: $50
