Team Millen made a serious statement yesterday at Milan Dragway in Michigan, wen Dan Millen took his single turbo small block Ford NMRA Outlaw 10.5 and NMCA Super Street Mustang deep into the 6-second zone with a 6.83 at 217 mph. This gives the team the confidence they needed to square off with Spiro Pappas in NMCA competition since Pappas has displayed the ability to rip 6.80's at will.
Millen, the young owner of
Livernois Motorsports in Detroit, has been chasing some new car bugs at the recent NMRA and NMCA events, as his Mustang now makes more power courtesy of a new turbo system from
Kooks Headers. The car features a 400+ cubic inch small block Ford built by the Livernois engine team, along with a Skinny Kid Race Cars chassis, and a 5-speed Liberty transmission.

Millen has come a long road since he began racing in the NMRA Ford Drag Racing series in 1999. By 2001, he was the NMRA Super Street Outlaw champion in his infamous single turbo white Fox Body coupe. Soon after Dan moved on to compete in various series such as Fun Ford Weekend, NOPI, NMCA, and World Ford Challenge. Millen's crew on the front lines consists of Scott Amesse who functions as his crew chief and tuner, and "Dom" who assists with the clutch and car setup.
