Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials
I got a question about some tires that was interested and wanted to see if anybody has had any good luck with them.
My Snake makes 675RWHP @ 685RWTQ and I allready spent the money on some Nitto NT555R2's and after comming highly recommended all they do is spin in every gear. I know if I took this car handling with the power I make I would of been counting tree rings on the off some tree. Has anybody gotten those new Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials?? I've seen the old ET Mickeys so well under 600 But I hear that the new one are the ones to get??
I would love to hear anybodies advice or experience with them. Just incase you don't know what tires I'm talking about here's a picture.
Thanks for your help and advice!

The Nitto's are great tires, but are not designed to take 675 rwhp. They will however last about 15,000 miles in most applications.

The M/T ET Street Radials should be bad ass, should hook good, but they still won't dead hook like an ET Street. Heck, there is a guy on the Corral that runs low 9's on 17-inch ET Streets.

I'll see if I can find the link.

No slippage there's just traction!!
Thats crazy I think thats all the convincing I need!! If that notchback can do all that gripping the track without missing a heartbeat then that tire will handle my power no sweat!!

Thanks

Vader I'm pretty sure that car uses 17" ET Streets not radials. But I'm not sure.

I have some 275-60-15 MT DR's on my car and its hooking decent if I launch it around 3000-3200 rpms on the t-brake . I went 1.41 the other night on the motor alone .

Thats Crazy you went 1.41 on those tires!!
I just want some good traction on the street & as far as at the track I have some Hoosier sicks and they hook pretty nuts.
I had a set of Nitto 555R2's and all they did is spin and got forbid if I put any nuts in the throttle they lit up in the middle of any gear like I was doing a burn out!!
So at this point I have Ordered my 305 35 18 Mickey Thompson's and can't wait to run them and we'll see how they hook!!

Vader Out!!

We run the M&H 325-45-17 Drag Radials on our 460 Turbo Coupe.

The only gripe I have is that their tires are too narrow for the sidewall designation. My tires are mounted on 8 in wheels.

They hook great tho!

Yes, very streetable and yes they are DOT approved.

I got fantastic service and the tires work great for us.

I just cannot understand why M&H puts such a large cross sectional number on the sidewall....these are the size of most others' 275 mm tires but they say 325 mm.

I bought a set of 275-55-16 M&H Drag Radials and they too were smaller than the sidewall markings. They look like 255 mm BFG size. Check out the photos below.

I love the tires, I just wish they were wider.
