Legend Mustang Releases Drag Racing Package

Who doesn’t like the S197 Mustang? I can tell you that aftermarket companies love it. It seems that every week a new version of the Mustang is being built and sold. This week we have the Legend Drag Package for anyone of the Legend Mustang S197 Mustang offerings. It features a very nice list of upgrades including some Nitto Tires, Spec Clutch, and aluminum driveshaft. Check out the full press release below.



Legend Mustang Drag Edition Gains Traction

Atlanta, GA (October 2008):

Temple Performance Cars has rolled out a new "Drag Edition" package to its already muscular Legend Mustang series. Company founder John Temple announced the details, saying "From the outset our Legend series has been positioned as the performance late-model Mustang mod for the masses . . . meaning a high level of performance for the street or on the track. Now we've offered a comprehensive package which enhances that on-track side for our customers and for muscle car enthusiasts."

John further describes the motivation, and diligence, he and his design team devoted to the Drag Edition project over the past year. "As we've had opportunity to more closely study our cars' traction, acceleration and handling characteristics out on the track, we've been exceptionally focused on designing these track-enhancing features to offer folks some options to add serious performance in all those areas. We now have all these upgrade features tightly adapted and coordinated to our cars, so we can roll them out together as the complete upgrade package."

Customers and dealers can order all the additions, or mix and match to preference. The suspension package alone includes upgrades to full subframe connectors, billet lower control arms, strut tower braces, front and rear. Front lower A-arm braces are also now available, as well as a fully adjustable Panhard bar and tubular upper Panhard brace.

-Roll Control for the front brakes
-SPEC Stage 2+ clutch and flywheel package
-Aluminum driveshaft and safety loop
-3:73 or 4:10 Rear gear upgrade
-Performance 31 spline heavy duty axles

-Rear seat delete
-Legend Sculptured Seats with optional race harness
