For starters, looks alone doesn't make a great car and at a distance, my first thought it was a Dodge Challenger, Then the rear looked a little like a Vette.
The inside looks cheap. There's a reason they're cheaper priced than the Mustang folks - think about it. It's been Chevy's problem for many years now. Ford is now with Honda and Toyota reliability speaking. Take a look at the 2010 Mustang side by side with this Camaro and use the specs and features side by side as well. This Camaro which all was expecting more of a 60's style body didn't get that either. It's very obvious what they copied from other models to make this car. Ford didn't have to copy any other model cars because they did it right based on their own past models and adding new technology - it's like a 60's Mustang but better. Look at the Mustang Shelby GT500 and GT500KR. Ford has a flavor for each wallet size and the quality and reliability to back it up as well. You'll also notice if you look at the specs for each car the camaro is cheaper for very obvious reasons. Don't expect to get much at all unless you get the top of the line model either. This new camaro is going to end up in the shop like Vader said, you just wait. My Dad and I had a shop until my Dad couldn't work any more and from what I saw, Chevy started going down hill shortly after the computers came out in the 70's for all the cars.
The older chevy's were better quality speaking and that's just facts. I even had a couple of them and I ended up having to get the Better Business Bureau's autoline to get Chevy to take it back, which they did. I've seen the data and Chevy's quality and reliability just aren't there - not yet any way. Why do you think some of the Chevy's have Toyota engines and drive trains in them ? It's because of quality issues. My Wife’s 2006 Pontiac Vibe has a toyota engine and drive train in it as well and the Vibe GT had a Celica engine and drive train in it. It's a great little car because of that. I prefer my Mustang and it's been a reliable car ever since I've had it. I chose quality and reliability performance upgrades as well of course. I wouldn't want to degrade the quality when making it faster. Ford's Fusion for 2009 even beat the Toyota Camry due to some issues people complained about. I think you'd be safe to assume that Toyota will make a come back though. But they'll have to do something pretty good after I saw the 2010 Fusion redesign even making it better yet. There's a reason why Ford was the only USA manufacturer not needing a bail out to avoid bankruptcy. Ford was only asking for funds as a back up if something went wrong. I sure hope the Chevy Volt is worth all the money they spent on it (Billion). All this is sad but true folks !, end of story until proven otherwise and time will only tell.
