Bill, welcome to Stang TV. Nice list of Fords - sounds like a life long hobby. What vehicles do you currently have?

Thanks, guys. My current list is the '86 vert and '87 Mclaren. Just got rid of the 07GT, but I loved that car. I bought the 86 from my dad before he had a stroke in '06. He passed away in Feb. '07. He was a Ford guy for life and owned many including the same 49 "Merc in Rebel Without a Cause". He also had a 57 T-bird, various LTDs, Galaxies and Mustangs. The Mclaren was his show car, and has 59k miles and is build #009. It's part of his estate and I hope to get my hands on it (long story). I'm watching it for him, it's in my driveway. I have better pics of the Mclaren, but they are on another computer. Here are some pics:

Just sold in Feb. Needed funds for 86.

Traded GT for this.....No car payment!

Ponybill - great cars man, and cool pics, thanks for sharing.

We have an 86 Mustang and have a special place in our heart for the 4-eye cars. Along with KJ Jones of 5.0 who has done a lot for the 4-eye mission as of late.

What are your plans for the 86?

I have a special place for them too. I'll never forget when my dad traded in our 80 Impala (only Chevy he owned) on a brand new silver 85GT. We picked the car up together and he smoked the tires out of the dealership. I was hooked after that I'd like to hear about your 86.

The plans are first to get it roadworthy again. It sat for a year, so I'm going through the coolant system with all new stuff and fixing the brakes. After that, I'm putting on Eibach springs, KYBs, and full poly kit underneath. Next is rebuilding the rear with 3:73s or 4:10s, aluminum driveshaft and new exhaust.
I'm keeping it pretty stock with minor performance upgrades, just as a weekend cruiser. I'll make it pretty next year.

Stock weekend cruisers are pretty cool too. The trick is to upgrade and make it stock appearing.

Welcome aboard Ponybill.

They're in post #6, but going forward after that is a full cosmetic resto, new top, paint, interior. I'm leaving the engine trans alone for now as the car only has 114k easy miles on it.
