GT Legends Automotive introducing electric drive shaft
The first thing you might be asking yourself is; what the hell is an electric driveshaft? I'll get to that, but first some background on GT Legends Automotive, the company behind this revolutionary hybrid driveshaft. GT Legends Automotive was originally called Ronaele Automotive (thats "Eleanor" backwards) and developed a very interesting electric Mustang called the 300e that raised some eyebrows at the EVS23 show last december. This all-electric 'Stang could go 100 miles on a single charge and had a top speed of 150 or 200mph, depending on the gear ratios.

But now Ronaele has become GT Legends Automotive, and the founder of Ronaele, Edward Monfort is onboard with GT Legends helping to develop the electric driveshaft for the V6 Mustang. The driveshaft will replace your current shaft and allow your Mustang to travel up to 60 miles on a single charge, essentially making your Mustang a gas-electric hybrid along the same lines of Chevy's upcoming Volt, but with an even longer electric range.

The electric driveshaft is also proported to add up to another 200 horsepower while reducing emissions significantly by allowing the car to operate in idle during hybrid driving. The system is controlled by an ON-OFF system that is in the final stages of development and in conjunction with a battery and electric driveshaft will be all you need to convert your Mustang into a hybrid.

Check out their all new website, that doesn't currently work: GTLegendsAutomotive.com
