I love cars. I like the car manufacturers. Everything about cars is cool. I think it’s pretty exceptional that we give our cars Girl names and treat them special.
I do a lot of research on the car manufacturers so that I can stay up to date with the industry. Most of the time there are a lot of really cool new ideas and features that the companies are coming up with. Pretty interesting reading for the most part. Once in a while you run across some news that just makes you shake your head and wonder: WTF????
I been around the world seven times. Once backwards on a C-141 cargo plane that had the seats installed where you faced the rear of the plane. I been to a world fair, three state fairs, and countless county fairs. I’ve even seen a frog fart underwater. And just when I thought I’d seen or heard it all…….
I just read where Lexus is suing a porn star for using the name. Immediately I started thinking about our Project Car names. Just to make sure that we wouldn’t get sued for using a name that was already taken. Project 666 seems to be pretty safe. Only Lucifer would have a claim and I doubt that suing us was high on his priority list. Project Blackout seems safe, and Project Grandma is generic enough to slide by. I am a little worried about Project Sun Devil. Seems there is a small college in Arizona that calls themselves the Sun Devils.
Honestly. What is Toyota thinking? Suing a Porn star over a name? Maybe they are in real financial trouble and think that Lexus the Porn Star has deep pockets (no pun intended). I went to the video store to do some more research on this subject, and it turns out that there is a female porn star named Lexus Cash, and one gay porn star that goes by Lexus.
Guys have been naming their cars, trucks, boats and airplanes with female names for years. In all that time, I cannot recall a single lawsuit. But let one female name herself after a car…………
I guess the German car companies are a little more forgiving. Porsche Lynn is a legend. The Italian company had no problem with Lola Ferrari. The entire far east continent has no problem with Asia Carrera. France has no problem with Paris Hilton. So why does Toyota have a problem with Lexus (either or both of them)?

Peter North (When the compass realizes that he stole their name, look out)
Bambi (several possible lawsuits here. Disney, Lance Alworth [San Diego Charger that was nicknamed Bambi] or Thumper)
Ginger Lynn (Spices around the world will be lining up for this one. Also the castaways from Gilligan’s Island may have a case)

I’ve conducted my own research on this lawsuit and my conclusion is that Lexus (the car) might be better off if they dropped the lawsuit and gave away a couple DVD’s of Lexus (the Actress) with each car sold. They might entice a couple of men to actually buy their cars.
