First '05 Mustang in the 8's belongs to Justin Burcham
Word is filtering around the internet that Justin Burcham and his S197 2005 Mustang have finally eclipsed the e.t. barrier that has held up for almost 4 years now - the 8-second zone. The deed occured in good conditions during a test and tune night at MIR - JPC's local track.

Justin Burcham has been an NMRA legend and one of it's best racers ever since his debut years ago in the NMRA Factory Stock class. Dueling with Robin Lawrence with 12-second and then 11-second stock-type Mustangs, Burcham launched his JPC Racing shop and began developing performance parts for the 2005-up Mustang. He has, most likely, the most famous 2005 Mustang drag racing car in existence.
Another interesting thing is that Justin has stayed with a similar engine combination for several years now, utilizing the Procharger F1R supercharger and nitrous. He used the Ford Racing crate short-block to run 8.89. Lately Justin has been doing development work with Ford Racing to push the limits of their Aluminator series of crate engines.
