What Edelbrock uses is the Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) process that the Edelbrock SC-1 goes through to ensure durable casting quality. HIP processing is a forming process that combines heat and pressure to consolidate the metal and press out any gaseous material. The end result is a rock-solid casting, comparable to billet material.
