Kevio, I hear ya man. I have one Chevy, one Saturn, one beat up dodge truck and one beat up Ford Explorer in my driveway. Oh yeah, one really beat up Pt Cruiser that the kids drive.

21 years in the Marine Corps taught me to keep my business at home. If it sounds rude for me to say "buy American", I say tough. I've earned that right. I'm still ready to fight and die for that right.

I guess what I am trying to say is, I look at how our global market has grown to what it is today. Overgrown, bloated and failed! Many people have jobs and many don't. BJ, if you needed a job and the only place hiring in your area was Toyota, I bet you would work at the Toyota plant building cars and trucks... I have a Toyota and a beat-up Cadillac STS. Both great cars. Both made in America / Mexico / Asia / Germany... and so on. So when we say Made in America, yeah that makes me proud. But at what point do we really call a car American made when majority of the parts were made globally. I will say this. Those rice burning super compact cars have to go. Those are not American and just make the owners look silly.

Sorry DollaBill, I'd rather retire than work for Toyota. Perhaps I have that luxury now, but if I didn't, I would have a difficult time selling my soul to exist. Pressed into that position, I would probably try to start my own company producing something or providing a service. Given the choice of working for Toyota or selling my body on Rodeo drive in Hollywood, I would have to go the Deuce Bigalow way and become a male gigolo.

DollaBill, before you start reaching for you wallet, I am not in that position so I don't have to sell my body just yet. I'm just making a point that the difference between being a self loathing company whore and a self respecting whore is a long distance apart. DollaBill, put your money away, I'm not for sell on this one. Hopefully I can change your mind and make you a reformed whore.

Yeah, our government and system has a few problems. BUT....we are still the best thing going. I just want to make sure that all this "Change" everyone is talking about in the current political discussions, does not "change" us from being the Greatest Nation in the history of the world.

I don't mind looking down the gun barrel to protect our freedom of speech. Although I don't agree with many things that are said, I will continue to protect people's right to say whatever they feel is right.

What bothers me most is.......I'm not sure that they would risk their lives to protect my right to say what I believe to be true.

Calm down Gorrilla. You got me to sign up, and I'm sure that others will too. It's a very worthwhile organization. I can tell you're pretty passionate about it.

Truth be told, I'm not a leaf lickin' bunny huggin' environmentalist or nothing like that, but I know that we need a few of those guys around. It helps keep things balanced. Just like my friend DollaBill. He may not be as redneck as I am, or run around the world 90 mph with hair on fire like a red-eyed radical similar to what I do most of the time.......but I trust him and need his opinions on things like those 4 cylinder Japanese tuner cars. He helps me find a logical and decent balance.

I'm with ya Gorrilla, and I am sure that my votes are going the same place as yours, I just don't want to scare anyone away by being too overwhelmingly vocal.
