Once the waters receeded after hurricane Katrina this Mustang was left to dry and has found its way into the hands of Marvin and Joey Bridge of Bridge Racing, in being prepared for Drag Radial and Ez Street racing. The build has been long term but is coming around nicely and should be a serious player when finished.
All fabrication duties have been left to the
Bridge Racing crew while retaining a "stock suspension" setup it has a NHRA legal chromoloy cage and has been fitted with a 315 drag radial tire. Keeping the geometry of the car in place while lowering the car in the rear to the customers liking has been a task, but Joey feels that they have accomplished it very well. Bridge has also fabricated the complete turbo system with headers and cold side plumbing.
Precision Turbo will be responsible for the turbocharger on board with a custom billet wheel in excess of 106mm that will force feed the large cubic inch, small block from Steve Petty and
Proline Racing. In between fabrication the crew at Bridge Racing has completely handled the wiring and plumbing for the intercooler, boost controller and the onboard electronics.
Once completed the initial hits will be handled by Joey Bridge as well as tuning the suspension until they feel comfortable. The Mustang will then find its way back to Louisiana to the customers home. Watch out Team South! It appears there will be another huge threat at a track near you very soon!
