Issued warnings by the NMRA brass, Bob Cook and Team Sutton Ford have heard the directive loud and clear - get your car legal for the sub 8.50s you are running.
Well, we've heard from a few sources that Cook's Modular powered entry is capable of running, and could if need be, of slamming home some 8.30 e.t.'s at 165 mph. With Tobener's radical performances in Extreme Street (mid .30s) and with him even dragging behind Cook in Renegade trim, there is nothing that says it can't be done.
It would of course break the hearts, minds, and pocketbooks of the entire Renegade field. And Cook is far too nice to do that, right?
The car is at Team Z's place, where fab man David Zimmerman is doing a 25.5 chassis upgrade in 2 weeks flat. Check out the snaps.
