Her name is Amanda Long. She's 27, cute, and coming to a track near you. No, she's not going to be wearing a bikini in the pits, but rather she's going to be behind the wheel ready to hole shot and leave you in the dust of a 200 mph drag radial Mustang.
This is just a preview of a full car feature and interview we are going to be doing with Amanda and her team in the upcoming weeks exclusively on Stang TV. However, we are going to give you a little preview of her ride.
The car is a 2005 GT, built by William Bodley at Bodley Racing and Fabrication, and wired by Mark "Sparky" Irving. It's currently powered by a 540ci BBC with 3 nitrous kits. The plan is to eventually have a 770+ inch motor in it.
Amanda is planning on running at Bradenton, Sunshine, and Immokalee, and hopefully they will be formally debuting the car at the race in Albany, GA next month. Of course, the biggest race she's planning on is the 2008 Outlaw Radial Tire Champions in Bradenton at the end of the year.
We'll be catching up with Amanda, her husband Donald, and her crew chief "Big Doug" Sanford next month. Stay tuned.
