8.8 Upgrade Video
A few months ago we installed a completely new rear end setup in our S197 Mustang. This is the Project Red Tomato car that as built up in Race Pages Magazine with a Vortech Supercharger.

Check out the video here.

Since we had decided at the time to focus on a more streetable setup, we removed the Detroit Locker and install the Detroit Truetrac - which is much better unit for the street, along with a set of Motive 4.10 gears.

We did the install at JBA Performance, so please check it out! It gives an overview on the car, the install, and the Eaton and Motive Gear products.

In the interests of complete disclosure (darn) ... since this video has been shot, I sold the car in order to buy the 1986 Mustang now known as Project 666. But we've still got a few videos and stories still to launch! The car was very nice, and I will tell you, the Truetrac is a much more streetable diff than the Locker.

Eaton makes an excellent range of products, pretty much everything but a spool, and can hang with just about any e.t. range outside of 8 seconds.

Glad you like the video, it was fun to shoot it. We're going to be writing a bunch more articles as well to go along with the videos.
