NMRA Pro Outlaw 10.5W cars haven't run in the 6-second zone since the 2006 season. With most of the pre-race talk centering around Mike Murillo, Carpenter showed he's not to be ignored by qualifying #1 with a 6.886 at 212.01 mph. Murillo also ran 212 in the final round as well.
