Ford has been building up anticipation for the 2010 Mustang in many different ways, from a movie contest with Flicka to a website counting down the November 19th unveiling. They have also released five teaser pictures which reveal little but produce much salivation for the upcoming ponycar. But for most of us these teases are not enough, so we turn to spy photographers to provide us with pictures of scantily clad test cars so we can wet our appetites for what is to come.
While Ford has been good about covering up test Mustangs, they have recently slackened, whether on purpose or not we do not know, but we do now have pictures of a lightly disguised GT500 convertible in Torch Red. In this picture we can clearly see the redesigned headlamps and grille, as well as bigger hood scoops to allow the monster Mustang to breathe better. This is definitely a more modern looking Mustang which still retains many of the retro styling cues from the 2005 redesign. The bulging hood suggests that this incantation of the GT500 will be sporting a similarly supercharged 5.4 liter V8 that powers the current Shelby's. You can see more photos over at
