Roush Modular Muscle
In NMRA Modular Muscle, Tom Motycka won in his 1996 Mustang powered by a 331 c.i. mod motor. Motycka from Lawton, MI beat Kevin Volk with a 12.2029 e.t. on a 12.20 dial in. Not only was Tom dead-on this dial in, he cut a .0029 light in the final round.
Detroit Locker Truck and Lightning
In the Detroit Locker Truck and Lightning final, Dave Cole won the class driving a black Ford Ranger powered by a 347 Small Block. Cole shot down several Lightning’s and met the deceptively quick 1948 F-100 of Bob Cochran in the final.
JDM Super Stang
A strong group of Mustangs with diverse powerplants entered the Super Stang class at Milan. Don Justus made the tow from Henderson, NC and scored a much deserved win over Matt Stanford. Matt Stanford impressed many by taking his manual transmission 2008 Cobra Jet to the finals. This was the first NMRA race for the Cobra Jet but it showed its versatility in being both NHRA Stock Eliminator legal and competitive in NMRA Super Stang.
Steeda Open Comp
Bruce Parker from Browns Mills, NJ took his 86 Capri to victory over Jon Pickering 74 Mustang II. Parkers yellow Capri ran a 9.08 et on a 9.07 dial in to take the win.
