SEMA 2017: Thermo-Tec Shows Off New Rogue Series Of Heat Shields

For more than three-decades, Thermo-Tec has been a family owned business right here in the U.S.A., and over the years, they have always dedicated themselves to providing high-quality, heat and sound insulation for high-performance vehicles. Thermo-Tec equipment is a trusted name that has been used in space, by professionals, and by DIY enthusiasts alike.

Here is a preview of what you can expect from the Rogue series of Thermo-Tec's products. Really cool looking stuff that gets the job done.

We caught up with Nick Helms at their SEMA booth, and gained some insight about some cool stuff that they’re going to be releasing at the first of the year 2018. “This is the new Rogue series that’s coming out, basically it’s an all basalt lineup,” Helms explained. “We’ve got our black and carbon fiber basalt line, and we are going to have two different kinds of pipe shields. We are going to have a 12-inch long pipe shield in different colors, and then we’re also going to have a little 6-inch shield.”

Some sample applications.

These are designed to be all purpose, individual sections of heat shield that will clamp onto your exhaust pipes. Unfortunately, there no plans currently in the works for custom sizing. They will help keep temperatures down, while also dressing things up. We have to say that they look badass, and will improve the look of pretty much everything you can put them on. It also won’t hurt that they help so much with temperature control.

“One nice thing about all of this, is that it’s all U.S. made,” Helms explained. “Also, a large portion of the proceeds are going to the Wounded Warrior project.” When you buy Thermo-Tec, you’re not only getting a top-notch product, but you’re supporting American jobs and American heroes. It sounds like a pretty darn good deal to us.
