There’s a reason why BASF has such a strong and loyal following. With the likes of Chip Foose, Ryan Friedlinghaus, Richard Petty, and Ringbrothers, there’s no wonder these four powerhouse car builders choose BASF when it came to coating their rides.
During this years SEMA show, BASF was in strong force showing the world their palette of colors can visually transform any number of Domestic or European vehicles into amazing machines. BASF brought out the heavy hitters this year and included four builds from four very diverse builders.
With four beautiful vehicles on lock, BASF was garnering all the attention in their booth. While we only have info on two of the four vehicles, it’s plainly obvious why these cars were soaking up all love.
First off was BASF’s ’57 Mercedes “Gullwing” newly restyled by Foose Design. It’s restyling elements include the Glasurit 90-Line Waterborne Paints, of course, by BASF. Silver was laid in 2-tones with a Red pinstripe separating the silvers. The ‘Benz also includes a custom front and rear bumper, modified rear bulge above the rear wheels, with additional modifying of the grill and grill shell.
Foose also removed the nose emblem, rear markings and smoothed out the luscious body. New chrome side moldings, billet headlamp bezels, and European style headlights were also added. Suspension consists of a custom set of springs for the correct stance as well as Foose wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Nero rubber.
