The name Edelbrock harkens back to the earliest days of performance racing and to keep in touch with their heritage, the team at Edelbrock have added a couple of finish choices in the Performer series carburetors.
The Performer series has been one of the most reliable carbs on the market and with the Edelbrock principle of giving the customer a product that is ready to run out of the box, we have added a choice in styles to this series of carburetors.
The black anodized coated finish is highlighted with bright silver hardware and linkage that gives the carburetor a unique “performance style” look while the vintage coated finish features the standard gold hardware for a traditional look.
While the wrapper may have changed, the performance aspect of the “Performer” series carburetors is the same high quality that Edelbrock is known for. Featuring the Edelbrock style metering rods and factory tuning, the two piece body carbs are compatible with gasohol and blended fuels. “One advantage the Performer series carbs have is the two piece body design that helps resist warpage,” says Redman.
Features of the Edelbrock Performer Series Carburetors:
- Bolt on and ready to run “right-out-of-the-box”
- Dependable street performance and smooth throttle response throughout the powerband
- Float levels are factory set and adjustments are rarely needed
- Two-Piece design means no gaskets below the fuel level for leak free operation
- Made in the USA
Available in 600 CFM with either a manual or electric choke and a 750 CFM with manual choke, the choices are now a little tougher with the anodized black or vintage finishes. If you are like us, either will do as long as we can still have the Edelbrock performance that we have come to expect from a product that is Made in the USA.
