The 2015 is the hottest product hitting the aftermarket right now. Since before the SEMA show, we’ve seen companies rolling out plenty of new products for the car, and one of the latest that we spotted at the 2014 PRI show, comes from MBRP, in the form of new exhaust components.
Being shown off at the 2014 PRI show, MBRP officially unveiled their new exhaust systems and components for the S550 Mustang. On display at the show was their cat-back system, one of their first products for the car.
The mufflers are a hybrid design, according to MBRP’s Jesse Rohr. They’re a chambered design with a perforated core. The race versions are somewhat smaller, and louder according to Rohr.
The MBRP system also uses OE location hangers, is available as an axle back, or cat back system, has 4 1/2-inch exhaust tips to fill out the gaps in the factory valance, and will be compatible with their long tube headers.
Rohr says the company is currently working on their long tube headers, and will also offer them with an adapter that will keep the exhaust tubing size three-inches from the header flanges all the way back. This is contrast to having to neck down the exhaust to just over 2 1/4-inches to match the factory catalytic converters.
MBRP launched their 2015 Mustang system at PRI, and it’s available now.
