Obviously you wouldn’t want to be in there when the engine is being pulled just in case something goes wrong, but we’ve added a lot of creature comforts by having this mobile tablet
When we stopped by our friends at Superflow, they were quick to point out that a recent merger has brought in a couple of new products, “We brought in probably our biggest competitor in the engine dyno world – DTS,” said Mike Giles. “We now really offer the customers the best of what Superflow and what DTS has to offer.” One of the benefits of the merger is Superflow now offers the SF powermark and the SF-902s dynamometer. The powermark is capable of handling up to 2500hp and 1750ft/lbs of torque. While the 902s is capable of 1500hp and 1000ft/lbs.
The dynos on display are amazing pieces of machinery, but what caught our attention was the new control console that is available with the two new dynos. The new NetDyn control software comes with two 22″ LCD flat panel monitors and a new mobile touch screen tablet. “Engine builders can actually pick up the touch screen tablet and walk into the dyno-room to lash valves, set timing, or whatever the need be,” explained Giles. “Obviously you wouldn’t want to be in there when the engine is being pulled just in case something goes wrong, but we’ve added a lot of creature comforts by having this mobile tablet.”
NetDyn Control Software benefits and features include:
- Windows based control software
- provides graphical user interface
- display is divided into 5 distinct areas – system controls, dyno controls, test controls, real-time data display, and set points control for load and throttle.
- 8 function keys
- 8 digital gauges to display user defined channels.
- view up to 10 user-defined pages in tabular format
- generate up to 10 different test data plots post test
