Pro-Touring cars are all the rage, though today’s eBay Find of the Day forgoes a modern motor for a classic 427 big-block side oiler. But the brakes and suspension are all thoroughly modern, making for the ultimate “hybrid” Mustang.
The one-and-only 1968 Shelby GT-500 convertible was on display this past weekend at the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA. This uber-rare automobile took many years to restore, and as the only one of its kind its value is incalculable. Is this the coolest Mustang ever?

Vaughn Gittin Jr. is a drifting champion in the U.S., and he is hoping to take his success across the Pacific to China’s World Drift Series. In his latest conquest, Gittin covers the Olympic stadium in tire smoke before dedicating his victory to the one and only Carroll Shelby.
The Shelby GT500 is already a beast to be reckoned with straight out of the factory with 662 hp, but add a few mods and you’ve got a monster. Evolution Performance, Inc. brought their ’13 Shelby to the track and ran an impressive 10.02 sec quarter mile at 141 mph with long tubes only!
