This past weekend the Pirelli World Challenge was in town for the third round of its 2013 racing seasons, and on hand were three teams fielding a total of five Mustangs, all vying for top spot in the GTS class. But this weekend didn’t quite go as planned. So what happened?
Throughout the weekend of October 5-7, the ground was shaking on the west coast and it wasn’t because of an earthquake. Close to 200 racers and countless spectators had gathered for the 2012 Pacific Street Car Association (PSCA) West Coast Nationals sponsored by Mickey Thompson.

This is it folks…the last hurrah of the 2012 NMRA All-Ford Drag Racing Series season at the annual Nitto Tire World Finals gathering at the Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green Ky.
It’s the first race of the year for the NMRA at the familiar Bradenton Motorsports Park in Florida. With a lot off season rules changed and classes combined, it will be interesting to see how racers will adapt. The rodding scene is changing these days, with more and more young rodders getting into the scene with newer and newer vehicles. That’s why Goodguys is including Super Sunday at most of their events this year and the modern models that represented Colorado this year were anything but ordinary.
The Barrett-Jackson auction is known for having some pristine ‘Stangs cross the auction block that fetch for big bucks. This past auction in Orange County featured a 1968 Shelby GT500, a 1969 Boss 429, and a “Galpinized” custom wide-body 2010 Mustang GT convertible. Check them out inside.
We head out to the biggest single day Ford car show of the season, at Knott’s Berry Farm to see 110 years of Fords on display, and plenty of high-octane celebrities from throughout the company’s history.
